I then rolled him back over and made him do it again in better lighting (cause that's the way I roll).

Grabby Gabey Baby
For the very first time this past Friday I held up a ring to Gabe and he grasped it with both hands. Since then he has become a champion at grabbing stuff. Liam still isn't interested in the toys enough to reach for anything yet. He usually just watches Gabe play with things or I have to manually put things into his hands. In these videos you'll see Gabe miss the toy when reaching for it a couple of times ~ but that's my fault, not his. I was trying to hand him the rattle while looking on the screen of the camera - so my depth perception was off, not his :)
This video is a little more than two minutes long. If you have the patience to watch the whole thing, you'll get to watch Gabe sudden "see" the rattle I'm trying to entice Liam with and then start to reach for it (I end up giving it to him).

Our Swing: combination entertainment center and bed
The next 3 videos are of Liam in the swing over the past couple of days.
Any time I stepped into view, Liam would stare at me ~ to get him to look up again, I would just snapped my fingers above the mobile and then would quickly move away once he looked up.
You can hear Gabe talking in the background too.
This is Gabe... falling asleep.
We LOVE this mobile!!!
This is the BIGGEST, light-flickering mobile we've ever seen! We especially LOVE it when it is put on the following settings: the Cooking Channel, the Food Network and Home & Garden TV. In this photo you can see we are watching the light show called Down Home with the Neelys - they make good lookin' ribs.
Our First Real Snow!
Despite living through two "snowfalls" in Baton Rogue, this was the first snow the cats saw that lasted for several hours and actually stuck to the ground. Both Allie and Maddie were mesmerized by it.
Here's Maddie...
And here's Allie...
Top of the mornin' to you!
The boys are always the most content in the morning, which makes for the best time for taking pictures.
Liam with the camera flash (emphasizes his blue eyes)...
...without flash (emphasizes his normal skin tones :)

... and without :)

Na na na na, na na na na. Hey hey hey, goodnight!
Both boys were totally exhausted in these videos, but Mommy was a little busy in the moment to put them to bed, so Daddy stepped up to stop them from crying. I was in the boys' room and heard both Gabe and Liam laughing so hard... by the time I thought about grabbing the camera, Gabe had already had enough.

America's Next Top Models?
As you can see, this model, Gabriel, is wearing an outfit to accent both the green wall behind the new couch as well as the green and yellow-green tints in the new and freshly-washed, older pillows.
He has wisely chosen to take a more "lounging" position on the couch to try to express the shear comfort this new piece of furniture will provide its new owners.
This model, William, is wearing this stunning bear ensemble in which dark brown of the new chair is subtly accented by the bears' eyes and noses.
He decided to pose with a hearty laugh on his face to show how much fun this new chair can be.

We are so cute!
Liam's eyes look so blue in this picture.
Gabe (in the bear print pajamas) was giggling so hard in these pictures :)

Happy Halloween!!!
We brought the boys to the door every time a trick-or-treater came knocking... unfortunately we only got 3 kids to come to our door. Yesterday Joe ending up bringing the chocolate into his class to ease the blows when getting last week's exams back.
Here's Liam being a French pumpkin.
Here's Gabey baby.
It turns out that it is very difficult to take posed pictures with one baby, let alone two. We have about 20+ different versions of this picture and in none of them are both boys looking good at the same time.
strengthening those legs
Here's Liam in the bouncer, but as you can see...
... his feet barely touched the ground at the lowest level.
And here's Gabe's try...
... and he's not tall enough yet either.
So the next day Mommy fixed the problem of the boys being too short by making the floor grow taller :)
Tummy time... & then recovery time :)
Here's Liam. He's much better at it (it = attempting to roll over). He doesn't get frustrated as quickly as Gabe does, so he gets more practice time in. You can see how he's starting to tuck his arm and lift his legs really high.
Once they start to really fuss during tummy time, I flip them over for recovery time. You'll see in this video how they're now following you with their eyes/head when you move.
Here's Gabey Baby's tummy time:
Here he is during recovery :) He's so cute! The cheesy music you here in the background is not something I chose out of our vast music collection to listen to. This video was taken the day of that huge storm that ripped across the US. The music is coming from the Weather Channel, which I had on all day due to tornado concerns.

"Aunt Clara had for years labored under the delusion that I was not only perpetually 4 years old, but also a girl."
I know Gabe's crying, but doesn't he look so precious? Look at how cute his feet were in this outfit!
And look at the ears on the hood! (and you can see he's still crying in this picture too)
He hated this outfit because he really couldn't turn his head in it - so after our photo session I changed him - look how happy he was after I put on more "manly" pajamas on him:

Notre Dame Weekend
This is the boys in front of Touchdown Jesus :)
Liam was able to take a nap, despite it being a bazillion degrees outside by the mid-afternoon. When I went to pick him up when he woke up, his head was soaking wet.
This is Gabe taking advantage of his Nanny by being cute and getting out of his nap time.

At Nana's and Papa's House
Gabe is all happy in this photo because Nana is probably offering him hotdogs... like father, like son :)
